This weekend we were able to spend a great day at our state historical museum. It is a shame we never took advantage of this before. Not only is the musuem free, but it has some really wonderful displays. Starting in the prehistoric age you work your way on back to the present with great presentations of each era. There's even period buildings and homes along with music of the era playing. We had a blast.
It's another shame that I wasn't able to get my camera out until the '50s, but the preschool/toddler set seem to be deathly afraid of the copper mine and cave. It took a while to settle them down. By the end of our time there they were begging to go back through the cave, though. Figures.
