You Can't Be Crunchy Without Granola

**Warning the following recipe is highly addictive and those you make it for will demand it again and again***

Homemade granola is one of the ultimate comfort foods. This simple recipe tastes much better than the store bought and is much cheaper to make. Its also a great base for homemade granola bars and cereal and is wonderful sprinkled on yogurt.

Homemade Granola

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil

  • 1/3 cup honey

  • 5 cups oatmeal

  • 1/2 cup dry milk

  • 3/4 tsp cinnamon

Mix brown sugar, oil, and honey in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Combine dry ingredients in a 9x12 pan. Pour sugar mixture over dry ingredients and mix well. Bake at 375 degrees for ten minutes. You can either enjoy just like this or add in a 1/2 cup of raisins, nuts, or coconuts after baking.
